Gov. Bello expresses shock over death of 3 vigilantes in a crash, condoles victims’ families
Gov Yahaya Bello of Kogi on Thursday expressed great shock over the death of three members of the State Vigilante Group who lost their lives in a ghastly accident along Okene-Lokoja expressway on Wednesday.
Three vigilante members: Ayorinde Tunji, Ajiboye Michael and Olumuyiwa Samuel, who lost their lives in a ghastly accident in the course of an official assignment along Okene-Lokoja expressway on Wednesday.
In a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Petra Onyegbule, in Lokoja, Bello sympathised with the families, friends, communities and the people of Ogori/Magongo Local Government Areas where the deceased hailed from.
She said that the governor was deeply saddened by the loss of three promising gallant personnel at this crucial time and offered his condolences to the deceased immediate families, and wished the injured victims quick recovery.
“It is terrible to hear the bad news about their demise, I express my sincere sympathies to their immediate families, friends, colleagues, communities and loved ones.
“May our heartfelt condolences and prayers bring the families they left behind comfort and ease the pain of these great losses.
“I offer them my thoughts, prayers and well wishes during this dark time in their lives.
“May God grant eternal rest to the departed souls and grant their loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable losses”.
In addition, the Governor assured the surviving victims of support whilst praying for a speedy recovery
